Refuse to Fear - Back
As a blogger, I have always been careful not to blog my opinions, but instead, to blog out of my convictions. Sharing the journey of how I am becoming is a decision I made after realizing that there are too few stories being shared about victorious living.
In the last year and a half, however, my blogging has been sporadic to say the least. There comes a time in your life when there is so much shaking that it changes your perception on a lot of things. My convictions have been tried, my beliefs have been challenged, and I am back to blog about the convictions that I hold today as I continue on my journey of becoming all that He has created me for. Some define success as the ability to maintain enthusiasm when you go from failure to failure.
Journey with me. In case you are where I have walked through in the seasons past: Refuse to Fear! We serve a God who is not taken by surprise. Today He waits on you to walk on with Him, for there is much to accomplish. Your story is not over, it's just been initiated!
I look forward to your comments as we journey together. Many thanks to all those who have gently budged and encouraged me to share again on these pages. This one is dedicated to you all! (Encouragement does make a difference!)

What Did You Hear?
What did you hear?
When you are believing God for a promise, any thing from an opportunity of a lifestyle or any particular breakthrough, there comes a time when things around you appear contrary to what you are expecting. It is important to recollect that which you heard from God during at this time. What did God say to you during that worship session, or that alone time with God in your room, or even while you were on a camp somewhere? What did you hear him say?
There is a huge temptation to compromise or downsize what you heard. Thank God you are reading this because you will not draw back. That’s your word for today. Today I want you to think about what you heard, write it down if you have to, the way you heard. It does not matter how contrary things appear right now.
In a few days I will carry on to the next key, but keep this promise in mind until then:
Ps 89. 33. I not break off from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail [to lie and be false to him]. 34My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips.
That which He promised, He will uphold. Hang in there; see you in a few days!

वहत दीद यू हेअर?
After almost a year of not writing on this particular blog post, I am back to share insights of my experience with my Master! I look forward to it, and also to hear your comments and shared experiences. Remember, when we obey Him, we become an expression of Him to everyone we interact with. In that way, we all experience God through our interaction together!
You can look forward to "What did you hear?" post this week. Great to be back! Another new chapter!

Courage - A tribute to the courageous. You.
When confronted with persecution and opposition to everything that he believed, to the revealed word that he believed he had been sent by the Lord to declare, Paul did not ask the Lord to remove it. Instead, He asked for the boldness to continue to speak and declare that that had been revealed to him.
Eph 6.19 And [pray] also for me, that [freedom of] utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news (the Gospel), 20For which I am an ambassador in a coupling chain [in prison. Pray] that I may declare it boldly and courageously, as I ought to do
After much opposition and persecution in Jerusalem, God had high expectations on Paul, he told him to go on and do the same in Rome, to declare His truth, His glory and his goodness to the people in Rome.
Acts 23:11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, "Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome."
The night before Paul sails for Rome, God whispers something to Him.
Act 27:22 Now I advise you to have courage. No one will lose his life. Only the ship will be destroyed. (The next verse is now on the boat during the storm) vs. 25 So have courage, men! I trust God that everything will turn out as he told me.
The verse above is strong. Paul tells his team to be calm because “everything will turn out as God told him”. Today I remind you the same, take courage for everything will turn out as God told you in the beginning. Regardless of how crazy it appears today!
(Paul Remembers When He Was With the Thessalonians) 1Th 2:2 As you know, we suffered rough and insulting treatment in Philippi. But our God gave us the courage to tell you his Good News in spite of strong opposition.
In my view this is the epitome of courage, that when confronted with opposition to the truth you believe, you ask the lord for the courage to still stand. In this season, stand on the revealed promise of God over your life. Stand on the prophetic word that was declared over you by the elders. Wage war according to this word.
Refuse to focus on the bad report, and choose to focus on the reality of God’s promises in His word. May God grant you the strength to remain true to yourself, and to Him even when it is difficult!
You read this today because He wants you to know that He is with you through this process. And that EVERYTHING will turn out as he said in the beginning. He is faithful to complete the GOOD work that He began in you.

Purpose of Faith ...
Recently I received a few mails around the subject of faith and trust in God…I’d like to share them as well as some of my thoughts from the scripture.
What do you do when your faith fails you? When you feel like you have put all your hope in God, but yet he doesn’t come through for you and you feel like has forsaken you? What do you do?
You don’t want to attempt a life without God because the thought alone is repulsive but at the same time you don’t want to trust so much again, with hopes and dreams and goals...what do you do?”
“It then scares me because I have a dream and a vision I want to fulfill in my and I get scared because on my own I can’t achieve it...In a moment where I feel like God has left me, I start to wonder if he will leave me again, and in doing so at times I’m reluctant to go for the impossible....if you get what I mean?
I’m also quite skeptical on the 'hearing from God front' coz there are times where I think I am, but situations tell me otherwise...How does one hear from God?”
It is at this point that you must fight to remain in the spirit, because if you don't you become double minded on a matter. This means believing God when the situations are right, and doubting when the situation is contrary. The enemy wants you in this state because you are not spiritually productive in this instance.
Look at James 1:6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
To avoid getting into a double minded state, you must focus on His word, His promise on your life, despite the contrary situations. Walking with faith filled people is vital as they will fan into flame God's word in you. Walking with doubters will fuel a double minded state, which leads to no results.
I trust that this improves your perspective in this season. He will make a way where there seems to be no way!

Decision Time!
Colossians 3:15 (Amplified Bible) And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
One factor that has helped me in making major decisions in my life is the peace of God in and through a decision. His peace confirms His leading in a given situation. Some decisions require information as they are very simple, for example what to wear depends on the info you have concerning the weather that day, next year’s provision for bad debts depends to an extent on the bad debts figure for this year, or the provision for depreciation depends on the current value and method of depreciation being used etc. (For Accountants)
The challenge comes when you need to decide on matters without sufficient information. For example, we do not have info (at least the critical info) about what will happen to a potential spouse in the future. They could look ideal today, and later things change, or they could look suspect today, and things change for the better in the future. Decisions like this require not only information, but REVELATION from God. The peace of God confirms such revelation about a decision. When considering a new employee for a job, sometime we do not pick up the good CV, because we are not settled in our hearts, then we discover that the good CV had major character flaws later!
The verse above explains this concept, that the peace is harmony in the soul, that comes from Christ. An umpire is one who calls the ball in or out in a game of tennis, or cricket. They make all the calls. And this umpire settles ALL questions, including yours, that arise in your mind, in the PEACEFUL state. Over the years this has been a fundamental factor in every major decision I’ve made. I give it to you to consider this as you make your decision, for it is decision time for you! God desires the best for you, and he has given you his peace as an umpire for your major decisions.
I believe verse 16 enhances your ability to be sensitive to God’s direction:
Colossians 3:16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts. (Amplified Bible)

Destiny Expects You To Respond In Faith
Talking to more of my friends and companions around the world I see them going through seasons of testing. In these seasons of testing, when one feels like letting go, or falling over the edge, whether it is worth it to hang on to dear life, I see life demanding a decision. In all of your going through, Destiny Expects You To Respond in Faith! You will see the glory of God in your situation.
Many are tempted to let go of God’s word, but I want you to hear this, and hear this well…quickly snap out of the disillusionment in your walk with the Lord. You are on God’s heart … and you have your past to see that. If you can SEE God in your past, you can see Him in your future. The Message of The Kingdom - 1 Thess 5:16-18 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks (not for everything, but IN everything); for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
So find your bible, the Word of God … it is your weapon this year in this season. You are not a church generation that becomes weak soon after leaving the walls of the church; you are a faith generation that can withstand the wiles of the enemy. You are not a bible carrier, you are a Word carrier.
I pray for you now, for understanding of the truth that you know, so that you may begin to walk in it. I pray that the Truth you know will become a present working knowledge. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
“Covenant blessings are not meant to be looked at only, but to be appropriated. Even our Lord Jesus is given to us for our present use. Believer, thou dost not make use of Christ as thou oughtest to do. When thou art in trouble, why dost thou not tell Him all thy grief? Has He not a sympathizing heart, and can He not comfort and relieve thee? No, thou art going about to all thy friends, save thy best Friend, and telling thy tale everywhere except into the bosom of thy Lord.”
Ps 125:1 Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. Remember, in this time of testing, Destiny expects you to respond in faith!

Be Encouraged!
I trust that our never failing God continues to carry you. Our faith is based, not primarily on the things that God did for us in the past, for he was still faithful before then; but it is based on the unfailing character and nature of our God – which can not lie. The nature of His word is such that it is immutable, His counsel in unchangeable and His thoughts and purposes are established for all eternity.
This concept is summed up in Number 23 where the bible tells us that “He is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He changes His mind”. It is upon this fact that our confidence lies. He has spoken over your life, and He desires for you to walk in that happiness. Everything that has taken place that was contrary to His will happened, not because you wanted it to, but it was A DIRECT ATTACK ON YOUR DIVINE IDENTITY. The time has come for you to get back and live in your rightful spiritual identity: the person that God had in mind before you were formed in your mother’s womb.
I am far to know what counsel you fall under right now, nut one thing I know that is depicted through the word of God, “the destiny of Kings lies in the hands of their counsel”. In this season, may God grant you wisdom and discernment to distinguish between His voice and the voice of the enemy. You are designed to commune with your Maker through His Word, by His Spirit as well as through His servant. May He assist you to identify and obey His still small voice, or may be it’s not still…lol!
As He orders you steps, He requires you to chose to follow Him as God TAKES GREAT DELIGHT AND PLEASURE IN FREE PURSUIT OF HIM. He is near you in the midst of unclear times, he is there with you…listen to Him and obey… Remain in His Grip!

Reflection
I have been asking myself, and God, what are the top lessons I learned and am still learning(smile) from 2008. As I have been reflecting on the things that worked well and the things that on the surface seemed to be failures I have had a lot of fun looking at them from different perspectives and seeing how I am going to
use the lessons learned in 2009.
Reflection adds wisdom to your experiences, take time to reflect daily on your experiences, so you can produce a better outcome tommorow. Reflect on your previous year so you can produce a better current year! I look forward to sharing with youthe journey this year!
Blessings.
Enlarge Your Thoughts
In this season, I’ve been busy doing a brainwash, clearing my brain of old thought patterns that have kept me from success and fulfillment for many years. God’s thoughts concerning you are bigger than your current situation. His thoughts concerning you are as countless as the sand grains on the sea shore, and they are for good and not disaster. In order to triumph over patterns of behavior that have limited your effectiveness in your situation, you need to enlarge your mind to His thoughts, to His truth!
Pr 27.7 says “As a man thinks in his heart so is he”. This means that you are not who you think you are, instead, you are what you think! Hard reality isn’t it? His thoughts concerning us are bigger than our current situation in our different economies, industries, families and all sorts of situations. Ours is to focus on His thoughts, let this mind that was in Christ be in you also!
Sometimes though it seems like our circumstances are contrary to what we believe God has as promised us. In Jer 32.15 God told Jeremiah that lands, properties, vineyards and houses shall be possessed in that land. What we don't know sometimes is that Jeremiah was in prison when this instruction came! All around him was evidence that was contrary to what The Lord was saying. What did he say? In verse 17 he said Jer 32:17 "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. NIV Jeremiah reminded his situation of who God was and what He has done!
Enlarge your thoughts to His truth through His word. Fill your mind with His truth, for it has overcome the world and the evidence around you. I look forward to your Comments on this entry!

Something Must Be Done ...
As we worship together and enjoy God’s presence it’s become clearer to me that God desires that our hearts be drawn to his. His heart is for people, and so we need to have a heart for the people He has sent to us to serve. Our worship will not have integrity until it’s complimented by our actions to touch the impoverished communities around us.
The time for us to turn a blind eye to the communities is passed, if me and you do something, someone’s destiny can change forever. On a recent trip to Vumba we met a community that has 29 families and 11 kids. The kid’s are forced to be in the forest most of the days as there is no food for them at home. Secondly, they are not in school because going to school requires them to have strength to climb and descend on the gradient slopes of Vumba, and without food they have to limit the days they go to school. At their small school of 45, only 3 teachers are at work. One has been there consistently while the other two have missed school due to lack of remuneration.
Perhaps you and me are the change they have been waiting for…it became clearer to me that:
Something needs to be done,
Someone needs to do it,
It might as well be me, and you,
Because we can…
The Plan
If we come together and contribute what we can, we can help change the order of day for those kids. We can coordinate our efforts through our AST Foundation office, it starts with us.
Specific needs for this community are as follows:
Food - Farming inputs (Seed – 290kgs)& Fertilizer, this will be to empower them to fend for their families.
Education - Arranging a meeting with the 3 members of staff & incentivize them to teach the children through the course of the term. (Dec or Jan)
- Buy books and pens for the children for a start. See list of children below.
Our efforts will be in synergy with the place of employment for this community as they are farm workers. Please contact us for any ideas or contributions you can make. Some of you we’ve spoken already and you have contacts for seed, some for fertilizer, some for food packs (for the short term needs), and some of you can contribute cash.
Let’s be the difference!

You Have To Be Willing To Miss It To Make It!
Pursuing your dream in a country like mine is definitely a major faith project, perhaps the biggest you’ll ever face given the surface circumstances I’ve described above. When the reality on the ground is different from what the Lord promised through His written and spoken word. When the perpetual situation seems to be deteriorating by the days, when everything that you've ever know is tested beyond your current ability. Are you going to stick to what God said for your breakthrough to come, or will you throw in the towel and settle for what you know is mere existence. Will you quit being the world changer you were called to be, settling for making a living, as opposed to giving a living to those within your influence and your reach…?
As I’ve marched on a step at a time, developing a market for our services, it’s important for me to learn and embrace this truth: You have to be willing to miss it to make it! It could be a business venture, or a career path, or studying at that university you’ve always dreamt of, or pursuing a relation, or better still starting that project to feed those kids, reconciling a family or social relation…it’s all the same. There will always be a risk of missing it in your pursuit. If you will wait for the risk to disappear, then you might never step out.
You miss 100% of the shots you do not take so do something! As the year draws to a close, take time to reflect on your experiences. Reflection is what adds wisdom to experiences. See what you can do better, and perhaps it’s time for you to be flexible on your approach, yet remaining TRUE to your vision and purpose! I’m preparing our mega strategy for our business, I feel like this year was warm up for us, and now we enter into the ring of success!
Your success is to be measured, not so much by the position you haves reached in life, as much as by the obstacles you overcame while trying to succeed. Keep running, keep watching, and keep trying!
See you soon.

Let Hope Arise!
Today I realize, once again, How great our Lord and God is. When you take a moment to gather all of the pieces of your life and aim them at Him in Worship, it’s amazing how all my situations and my issues suddenly appear small. He is God, Our God…I read that “The hour is coming, and has now come, when the true worshipers will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, for He is seeking such to worship Him. (Jh 4.24)
In your situation, choose at this instance to focus on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith. He is the Shepherd of your soul. He declares that no longer shall the sun be your light, nor shall the moon be your light, that that He himself, the light of His glory shall be your light. This happens when you begin to give Him the worship that is due to Him. Ascribe to the Lord the glory that is due to Him, and you will see your situation begin to melt like wax!
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of this earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and His grace”…those are the words of an old hymn that you might remember. Let Hope Arise In you. The world is waiting for the God in you, may His love replace the fear in you!
Isaiah 60:19-20
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.
20 Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the LORD will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.

Associations – Who you with?
As you read through my blog I trust that you are seeing some of the change that is going on in my life. Better still, I hope you are going through significant change as well. Change is a sure sign of growth. If you are not changing, then you are not growing. Happiness is a result of growth! So check if you’re growing by inspecting your happiness.
I’m fast learning that a man is not changed by his experiences or as I previously thought, the people meets. Instead, a man is changed by the words that pass through his life. It is how you interpret a situation or an experience that determines how it changes you. Recently I spent a week in the City of Chicago. This was the most insightful experience that I’ve had this year, because of the lessons I learnt from the dolphins at the Aquarium, the history at the Field’s museum, the Planetarium, and the all beautiful Ritz Carlton Hotel! Looking back, I realize that I learnt some life changing lessons because of the men that I was with and their Words! Someone on the same trip on holiday won’t have the same perspective when they travel alone, with no words to compliment the experience.
All through the bible we learn that the destiny of all the kings was determined by which prophets they listened to. Similarly, your destiny is in the hands of your prophets, that is, those that you decide to listen to and take their advice. In light of this, you have to carefully choose your relations and your associations, and diligently cultivate the ones you choose. Surround yourself with people who are full of words of victory, and soon you will exhibit the seed of greatness that lies inside of you.
It’s not always popular to redefine the relations around you, my question to you is, How bad do you want what the Lord has promised you? As I’ve been thinking about this subject I also realize that u have to continually grow in order to remain relevant to my friends, lest I become obsolete and boring to them! Invest in yourself so that you can be of quality association to those around you, that’s what I leave with you. Be prayerful as you choose your associations, for they affect your tomorrow. I look forward to your comments of this and other topic discussions!

He Still Made A Way: Despite Of Me
I simply learn to bow again at your throne because you saw me at the same place of failure, and you loved me still. It cost you your very own son, yet you still made a way. Indeed you are the reason I’m kneeling again at your throne, I simply learn to bow.
